PAST PERFORMANCE AND PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Past Performance

GS2 and our team members have successfully completed thousands of projects, which include residential, commercial, local, state, federal and industrial projects. Our client base includes engineers, architects, developers, contractors, industry, lending institutions, local government, state government, federal government and special interest groups, with a majority of our work coming from repeat clients. Through our hard work and dedication to details we have managed to gain the trust and loyalty of our clients.

We have presented a brief overview of some of our project experience in the following paragraphs of this section. Additional information on the projects identified below and other project experience will be made available upon request.

Residential Experience

Our firm has provided geotechnical, environmental and testing services for over 60 different subdivision developments, in the Columbia, Charleston and Bluffton regions of the state.

Commercial Experience

Our commercial experience has included geotechnical, environmental and testing services for dozens of grocery store sites (including work performed for Piggly Wiggly, Publix, Bi-Lo and Food Lion), several pharmacies (including Walgreens, Long’s, Eckerd’s and CVS), various strip and shopping malls, various restaurants (including McDonalds, Monterrey’s, Yamatos, The Millennium Café), various gas stations and convenience stores (including Shell, Amoco and Texaco) and many other big box developments.

Industry Related Experience

Our firm has performed geotechnical and environmental design for new and existing facilities for various industries throughout the state of South Carolina. Industrial projects include: Georgia Pacific, Lindau Chemicals, DeRoyal Textiles, Inc., Columbia Farms, A Taste of The South, Southern Warehouse and Distribution, and several sites in the Columbia Industrial Park and various other industrial parks throughout the state.

State-Wide School District Experience

Our team has been involved with the construction, additions and renovations for over 300 school sites for several counties in the state of South Carolina. The services provided for these school sites have included; geotechnical explorations, environmental assessments, environmental design, facilities analysis, construction materials testing and special inspections. Our team has provided these services in Richland County, Lexington County, Charleston County, Aiken County, Lancaster County, and Orangeburg County. Additionally, our personnel have extensive individual experience with similar work in Newberry County, Fairfield County, Kershaw County, Florence County, Berkley County and Dorchester County. State Agencies Experience

Our team members have extensive experience with contracts for services through state agencies that include SCPRT, SCDOT and SCDHEC. These contracts included services for: WWTP Upgrades to various park sites, Phase II Assessments, Monitoring Well Installation, Geotechnical Studies for various bridges, Construction Materials Testing for roadway expansion, Lead Based Paint Assessment and Removal, Underground Storage Tank Site Assessments, Rapid Assessments and Corrective Action Plans and other services.

In addition, our personnel have previous individual experience on several projects under the USC IDC.
Projects on which our team members have been involved include:

2.) Williams Brice Stadium - North End Zone Addition,
3.) The Blossom Street Parking Garage,
4.) McMasters – USC

Federal and Military Experience

GS2 has provided geotechnical and environmental services for dozens of HUD projects that have included multi-family, elderly and assisted living developments.

Our firm has also provided geotechnical and testing services for several military departments including the Army, Air Force, Air National Guard, Navy at the following bases: Fort Jackson, Shaw AFB, Charleston AFB, and McEntire ANG.

In addition, our team members have experience in working at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site (SRS).

Special Interest-Group Project Experience

Some of GS2’s more interesting experience has been in working with special interest groups. Projects completed for special interest groups have included multiple churches, the Korean War Memorial, The Proposed Columbia Bell Tower, and Busted Plug Plaza.
